Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 Coming Early with Major Upgrades

According to a recent report from China, Xiaomi’s first flip-style foldable smartphone, the Mix Flip, was a huge success when it was released there in July.

In fact, it is anticipated that its successor will arrive sooner than anticipated, according to reports, it will be released before the end of June and will be a significant update rather than a minor one, using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, the Mix Flip 2 will be smaller than its predecessor, with wireless charging compatibility and an IPX8 water resistance rating.

Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 rumor

The Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 with model numbers 2505APX7BC and 2505APX7BG was allegedly sighted in the GSMA IMEI database back in August. Although the device’s name is missing from the IMEI database, it is hypothesized that these model numbers relate to the Mix Flip 2’s Chinese and international variants, respectively.

Its prospective release in European markets is indicated by the recent approval of the global version of the Mix Flip 2 by the EEC authorities. Unfortunately, no other information about the Mix Flip 2 has been made public yet, with the exception of the chipset. Some flip-style foldable phones with a 4,800mAh battery capacity are available in China. That the Mix Flip 2 has a 5,000mAh+ battery is hardly surprising given the current trend of larger batteries in flagship products.
