Aura Displays’ New Device Turns Your Laptop into a Four-Screen Workstation

A company based in San Francisco called Aura Displays has introduced a new gadget called the Triple Boost 14″ Pro, which costs $469. The company says this device can turn any regular laptop into a four-screen setup using just one cable. It’s made from strong aluminum and adds three extra 1080p screens to your laptop. According to Aura, this setup can help users work up to 52% faster.

This product is designed for people who travel often or work from different places — like digital nomads and remote or hybrid workers, who need to multitask like they’re working from a full desktop setup, even when on the go. It does add some weight (about 4.7 pounds) to your bag, but it offers a full work experience anywhere.

What Makes It Special

The Triple Boost setup opens up to place two screens on each side of your laptop and one on top, all powered through one USB-C cable. It looks like something you’d see at a NASA control center — only you’re sitting at a café working on your emails or spreadsheets.

Useful Technical Details

  • Each of the three screens is 14 inches, uses 1080p IPS panels, and shows clear, detailed images that won’t hurt your eyes.

  • The screens are 300 nits bright, which is good enough for most places, though not perfect in direct sunlight.

  • The frame is made of aluminum, unlike cheaper competitors made from plastic. This makes it more stable and less wobbly while typing or adjusting the screens.

  • The hinges that hold the screens are smooth and strong, so setting it up and packing it away is easy.

Easy to Carry (But Not Very Light)

The whole thing folds flat and can fit in most laptop bags. While 4.7 pounds is not light, it’s much better than carrying three separate monitors.

Compared to other similar devices, like the Trio Max from Mobile Pixels (which costs $359 but only gives you two screens), Aura’s product gives you more screens and a stronger build for just a bit more money.

Things to Keep in Mind

While the Triple Boost has many good features, there are a few downsides:

  • The screens have a 60Hz refresh rate, which is fine for office work like emails and spreadsheets, but not ideal for video games.

  • 300 nits of brightness is good indoors, but if you work outside on a sunny day, you’ll need to find some shade.

  • Using three extra screens means your laptop’s battery will run out faster, so it’s best to have your charger nearby when using this setup.

A Bold Choice for Serious Multitaskers

The Triple Boost 14″ Pro is made for people who want to be more productive and work on multiple things at once. Whether you’re a coder, designer, analyst, or just like having more screen space, this device can make your work feel easier and faster.

At $469 during the pre-order period (and $649 later), this isn’t a cheap device, but if you want to work like you’re at your office from anywhere, and you have space and power to use it, the Triple Boost could be a very smart upgrade.
