Huawei Enjoy 70X Leaks Ahead of January 3 Launch

Huawei is launching a new mid-range smartphone on January 3, the company has officially announced. This is the Enjoy 70X, and as you can see from the official teaser image below this paragraph, it takes its design cues from the Mate line with the circular ring-like camera bump.

A hands-on of the new smartphone has surfaced in China, providing us with a few specifications and a real-world view of the device. The Enjoy 70X, model number BRE-AL80, is powered by the Kirin 8000A SoC, which appears to have a hexa-core CPU with three Cortex-A77 cores clocked at up to 2.19 GHz and three Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 1.4 GHz. The GPU is the Mali-G610 operating at up to 864 MHz.

The phone will be at least available in white and cyan, and it runs HarmonyOS 4.2. It has a 6.78-inch 1224×2700 OLED screen with high-frequency PWM dimming at 2,160 Hz, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits.

The phone is said to have a 6,100 mAh battery that supports 40W rapid wired charging, and it has a 50 MP primary camera and a 2 MP depth sensor on the back. It is said to weigh 189g and have a thickness of 7.98 mm.

The Huawei Enjoy 70X’s look is also partially revealed in the teaser. Beginning at the back, the device will include a camera bump resembling that of the Mate 60 Pro, which has two side-by-side lens apertures and an LED flash at the top. It promotes a slender body shape with what appears to be an X button on one side.

The front face features a dual-lens system with a pill-shaped notch at the top. It features a dual-curved display panel with smooth edges and rounded corners.

The new Enjoy 70X phone from Huawei also boasts a 50MP RYYB low-light primary camera for dynamic portraiture, a 5-star super drop resistance rating, a long battery life, and a hyperbolic eye-protection display solution.

These elements all suggest that the smartphone will provide users with a flagship-level experience. Compared to Enjoy handsets from the previous generation, it will offer better fall safety, better photography, and better visuals.
